


This is kembang payung skirt. What is it called in English? Ermm... expand umbrella? :). No, it's mermaid skirt (I think ?). But as you can see, mine is not too mermaid.
I used cotton lycra fabric I bought at Gulati's long time ago. With 1 meter of 60" wide fabric, I able to get a mermaid skirt and a body of a blouse. But the blouse is not yet complete because I have to find another fabric for it's sleeves.
Back to the skirt, since the fabric is stretchable, I refer to this tutorial as a guideline to make the waist part. It's a very good tutorial and easy to understand. Credit to the tutorial owner.
